Several A-list stars including Jenna Ortega, Sydney Sweeney, Leonardo DiCaprio and the stars of Superman appeared at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas on Tuesday.
CinemaCon is an annual convention for Cinema United — which is formerly known as the National Association of Theater Owners — where studios present their upcoming films. Oftentimes the studios have major stars and filmmakers appear at the convention to help promote the films.
CinemaCon 2025 this year includes presentations from Disney, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Warner Bros., Lionsgate, Paramount, Universal and its subsidiary Focus Features, as well indie studios Angel and Neon.
Upcoming films from Lionsgate took center state Tuesday at CinemaCon, where the likes of Ortega, Sweeney, Seyfried and de Armas appeared. See photos from this week’s CinemaCon celebration below. Also appearing were stars from upcoming Warner Bros. releases.
Superman director/producer James Gunn, producer Peter Safran and stars David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan and Nicholas Hoult appeared at CinemaCon Tuesday night to promote the upcoming Warner Bros. film. Superman opens in theaters on July 11.

Director Maggie Gyllenhaal and The Bride star Jessie Buckley appeared at the Warner Bros. presentation Tuesday night to promote the upcoming monster movie. Starring Buckley as The Bride of Frankenstein and Christian Bale as Frankenstein’s monster, the film arrives in theaters on March 6, 2026.
Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor and Leonardo DiCaprio appeared at the Warner Bros. presentation to promote their film One Battle After Another Tuesday night a CinemaCon. The crime comedy from director Paul Thomas Anderson opens in theaters on Sept. 26.
Ana de Armas attended CinemaCon Tuesday on behalf of the John Wick spinoff movie Ballerina, which will open in theaters in theaters on June. 6.
Lionsgate also announced that Keanu Reeves — who will appear in a supporting role in Ballerina — will return to the title role in John Wick 5.
Appearing with Ana de Armas to promote Ballerina was director Len Wiseman and Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Chair Adam Fogelson.
Director Paul Feig appeared on behalf of his upcoming Lionsgate psychological mystery thriller The Housemaid with the film’s stars Amanda Seyfried, Sydney Sweeney and Brandon Sklenar. The Housemaid will be released in theaters on Dec. 25.
Writer-director Trey Edward Shults and Jenna Ortega appeared at CinemaCon to promote Lionsgate’s psychological thriller Hurry Up Tomorrow, which stars Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, Ortega and Barry Keoghan. The film is due in theaters on May 16.

Mark Hamill, David Jonsson and director Francis Lawrence were also at CinemaCon Tuesday to promote Lionsgate’s big-screen adaptation of Stephen King’s The Long Walk, a horror thriller that will open in theaters on Sept. 12.
Karate Kid: Legends stars Ben Wang and Ralph Macchio promoted the film at the Sony Pictures Entertainment presentation Monday night at CinemaCon. The film opens in theaters on May 30.
Director Sam Mendes, Joseph Quinn, Barry Keoghan, Harris Dickinson and Paul Mescal were at Sony Pictures Entertainment’s announcement of the studio’s four Beatles movies, which will all be directed by Mendes.
Mescal will star as Paul McCartney, Dickinson as John Lennon, Quinn as George Harrison and Keoghan as Ringo Starr. All four Beatles films are slated to be released in April of 2028.
Filmmakers Nia DaCosta and Danny Boyle were at CinemaCon Monday night to promote Sony Pictures Entertainment’s upcoming zombie thriller 28 Years Later (directed by Boyle) and its sequel 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (directed by DaCosta). Boyle’s film will be released on June 20 and DaCosta’s film will be released on Jan. 16, 2026.
