Jim Carrey’s Los Angeles home has just taken another punch in the gut.

The Hollywood funnyman, 62, slashed the price of his property there for the fifth time, now seeking $19.75 million as of this week — down from its original $28.9 million, The Post has learned.

That’s a $9.15 million cut over the course of nearly two years.

Despite all the lavish amenities — tennis courts, a waterfall pool and even a treetop meditation platform — the home just isn’t moving.

Carrey, whose reps declined to comment, first listed the 10,954-square-foot mansion in February 2023.

So what’s holding buyers back? Many point to LA’s new mansion tax — a 5.5% levy on homes over $10 million.

Voters approved the measure in 2022, with the money going to fund affordable housing and homelessness programs — but for luxury homeowners, it’s been nothing short of a disaster.

“The market’s tanked ever since that tax went into effect,” one broker told The Post. “These multimillion-dollar homes are just sitting there, and sellers are scrambling to cut their losses.”

LA saw a 68% nosedive in luxury home sales after the tax kicked in on April 1, 2023, according to the MLS. Other fancy areas like Beverly Hills and Malibu aren’t doing great either, but LA’s market has really taken a hit. While neighboring cities like Beverly Hills saw a 24% drop in sales of homes over $5 million, also according to the MLS, LA’s have plummeted at twice that rate.

Meanwhile, Carrey is left stuck.

“For three decades, it’s been a sanctuary for me, but I don’t spend a lot of time there now, and I want someone else to enjoy it like I have,” Carrey reportedly said when he first listed the property.

The estate, located in the plush Brentwood neighborhood, is packed with all the bells and whistles you’d expect from a Hollywood star.

It’s got five bedrooms, six full baths and three half baths.

Inside, there’s a chef’s kitchen, an Art Deco theater, a gym and even a soaking tub in the master suite. Outside, there’s a tennis court, a pool, a spa, and enough space to never see the neighbors.

Janelle Friedman of Sotheby’s International Realty has the listing — and didn’t return a request seeking comment.
