Hollywood star Robert De Niro blasted top White House aide Stephen Miller — who is Jewish — as a “Nazi,” comparing him to Joseph Goebbels, the chief propagandist for Adolf Hitler.
During MSNBC’s “The Weekend” on Sunday, co-host Jonathan Capehart asked De Niro about his belief that President Trump will refuse to leave office after his current term ends.
“No way…He will not want to leave. He set it up with his, I guess, the Goebbels of the Cabinet,” De Niro replied.
“Stephen Miller. He’s a Nazi. Yes, he is, and he’s Jewish. He should be ashamed of himself,” the actor – known for his roles in films like “Goodfellas” and “Taxi Driver” – continued.
Miller is currently leading the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration.
Capehart then asked De Niro for his thoughts on a recent social media post from the Trump administration over the weekend.
A post on X from the official White House accounts appears to show AI-generated images of Trump and Vice President JD Vance sitting on thrones and wearing crowns, while Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) are wearing sombreros.
The post came as tens of thousands of “No Kings” protesters flooded the streets of New York and other cities across the country to protest Trump.
“It’s all nonsense. We know it’s all racist. That’s what he appeals to. That’s what Trump is,” De Niro said. “It’s not gonna change with him…The point is we have to keep fighting and pushing until he is out.”
During his wide-ranging rant, De Niro also slammed Trump as an “alien” with “no empathy” who wants to “hurt” the US.
